Masterclass – 21st of May:
In this virtual tasting, you will get to taste three beautiful cuvées of Frerejean-Frères Champagne house. Based in the Grand Cru village of Avize, they are nestled between the rolling hills of vines in the Côte des Blancs.
Rodolphe Frerejean-Tattinger will introduce the story of his house, founded with his brothers Guillaume and Richard. Living between Paris & Champagne, they’re the latest generation in a line of cannon-makers, who supplied the French army during the Napoleonic Wars.
He will co-host this tasting with Kyla Kirkpatrick, the Champagne Dame, and they will both introduce and taste three Frerejean-Frères cuvées:
- Frerejean-Frères Premier Cru Brut
- Frerejean-Frères Blanc de Blancs
- Frerejean-Frères Grand Cru VV26
The chalky soil in the area produces the beautifully mineral Chardonnay in their champagnes, a beautiful expression of terroir.
Join Rodolphe & Kyla as they take you on a journey to the hills of Côte des Blancs, tasting two amazing yet very different champagnes.
The cuvées are available for purchase at Emperor Champagne.

Masterclass – 4th June:
Discover the story of Jérome Dehours, who gave life back to a beautiful 14 hectare estate in the Marne Valley in Champagne. Inspired by the great Anselme Selosse, Jérome started with organically-grown vineyards by way of expressing each of the magnificent terroirs he has at hand. The Domaine Dehours predominantly produces Pinot Meunier, a varietal best suited to this cooler area of Champagne, but also Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Champagne connoisseurs seek out the Dehours Champagnes to find the renowned Meunier style; bold and flavourful with a clear terroir-orientated approach.
To host this masterclass: two experts. Kyla Kirkpatrick, the Champagne Dame, and Alexandre Rougeot, Founder & CEO of Clos Cachet, importer of Champagne Dehours. They will taste and introduce the Brut Nature of Champagne Dehours. With a 0g/L dosage, this wine is created with indigenous yeast from Jérôme’s own vineyards, for both fermentations. No filtration and no fining are needed in this purist organic winemaking approach.
Find out more about this fascinating champagne house and their special winemaking by joining the class. Champagne Dehours Brut Nature is available for purchase at Emperor Champagne.
